My life is a series of waiting
it seems that I am forever in limbo
Soon it will be but one month
One week
One day
One hour
and finally I am here
Past excruiciating minute-long episodes
of being cryogenically frozen
or in a dream where I am running
but never going anywhere
but here I am and all ‘what ifs’
are close to expiring
